The first 6 miles of this section tends to get a little bit crowded. It's very popular for day hikes, so you'll find plenty of families and children climbing the trail. Head up to "sitting bench" and you'll break through the crowds a little. Continue to hike through beautiful forests and along rocky outcroppings, and enjoy the views!
Begin at the Waterton Canyon parking lot. This lot is about 4 miles south of C-470 on Wadsworth Blvd. It is easy to spot because the trail and parking lot is usually quite busy.
